The “Porcelain” series, created in 2016, consists of two decorative plates that merge artistry with functionality, each featuring a mixed-media design on 13 x 13-inch surfaces. One plate is adorned with a pattern of eyes, while the other features intricate geometric triangles, both exploring themes of perception, observation, and balance.
The eyes—symbols of awareness, knowledge, and introspection—draw the viewer into a space of contemplation. Their textured application on the smooth porcelain surface creates a sense of depth and movement, inviting the viewer to consider what it means to see and be seen. In contrast, the geometric triangles suggest structure, balance, and precision, offering a counterpoint to the fluid, organic shapes of the eyes.

This contrast between organic and geometric forms is central to the series, representing the duality of human experience—intuitive and rational, emotional and logical. The use of texture adds another layer to the work, making the plates not only visually stimulating but also tactile. These pieces transform everyday objects into works of art, inviting viewers to engage with them on both an aesthetic and symbolic level.
