Objective: Renowned poet Mariya Lifanova needed a design for her poetry book that would visually complement the minimalistic nature of her verses. My task was to create a layout and design that would seamlessly fuse the geometric visual art with her refined, emotional poetry, enhancing the reader’s experience.
Process: I approached the project with a focus on simplicity and elegance. Using a geometric design, I aimed to mirror the minimalism of Lifanova’s poetry. The subtle color palette, consisting of soft pastels and muted tones, was chosen to evoke a calm, introspective mood, allowing the words to stand at the forefront. Each page layout was carefully crafted to reflect the essence of each poem, creating a visual dialogue between the text and the design.
I also made sure the overall aesthetic remained consistent throughout the book, ensuring that the design did not overshadow the poetry but rather enhanced it, creating a balanced and immersive reading experience.
Outcome: The final product was a visually captivating book that invited readers to engage deeply with both the poetry and the design. The harmonious fusion of words and visuals created an emotional and immersive experience, elevating Lifanova’s work and showcasing my ability to merge literature with minimalist visual art.
